School Lunches including Applying for Free School Meals
We are very fortunate to have our own kitchen facilities on site. This means that our cook, is able to provide freshly prepared healthy lunches here at school each day.
All children in Reception Class, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school lunch every day if they would like one. We encourage this as much as possible as a balanced meal during the day has been shown to improve performance at school.
Children in Nursery and Year groups 3,4,5 and 6 are required to pay for their lunches at a cost £2.35 each day, £11.75 per week.
As Sacred Heart is a cashless school Parents/Carers must be registered on SIMS Pay. The School Office Team will give all new parents/carers an invitation code in order to register and will support any who are having difficulty in logging on to the system, or any problems
Parents/Carers can either pay in a number of ways
Each Monday morning making sure there is £11.75 balance for each of your children accounts
If you like you can pay for a half term in advance and parents/carers will be sent an email informing them of the amount before the start of each half term.
You can also pay in mutiples of weeks.
If your child is absent during a school week due to illness etc, you will not be charged for a meal.
If for any reason there is a problem with a payment please contact school as soon as possible.
If you wish your child to change their meal requirements i.e. School Meals to Packed Lunches you must speak to the school office and complete a form, we require two week's notice for any changes.
Unfortunately we cannot cater for adhoc meal changes unless in an extreme emergency, in this instance you must contact the school office and pay £2.35 online to cover this meal.
